Student STEM Competition Offers $100,000 Awards

Bridging the Gap Conference Focuses on K-16 STEM Education - The North Carolina Association for Biomedical Research is sponsoring its second annual Bridging the Gap conference Oct. 14-15 at the McKimmon Conference & Training Center, Raleigh. The conference – whose goal is to strengthen K-16 STEM education throughout North Carolina – brings together K-12 education, higher education, industry, government and other STEM groups to share ideas and resources. Last year, more than 300 STEM stakeholders from North Carolina and beyond attended the inaugural edition of the conference. There is a registration fee. 2013 Global STEMx Education Conference & Call for Proposals
This is a free online conference for educators which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and more. The conference will be held online, over the course of three days, September 19 - 21, 2013! The founding sponsor is HP, and core conference support also comes from the International Society for Technology in Education® (ISTE). This event will encourage students and educators around the world to share and learn about innovative approaches to STEMx learning and teaching. Summer Workshops at Shodor

For middle and high school students who are interested in COMPUTERS, MATH and SCIENCE, Shodor offers a variety of explorations to satisfy their intellectual appetites during time away from school this summer. Middle and high school students attend separate workshops during the week Monday - Friday.
Most workshops are half-day sessions
(9 a.m. – noon) and (1 p.m. – 4 p.m.)
Some are full day sessions (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
